Frequently asked questions
What is a good Discord username?
Short, lowercase and memorable, such as an adjective plus a noun ("quietfox"). Use your display name for capitals, spaces or emoji.
What should I name my Discord server?
Something that describes the community and sounds welcoming, like "Study Hall" for students or "Loot Lounge" for gamers.
Can I use fancy fonts on Discord?
Yes, in your display name, server nickname and server name. Usernames must use standard lowercase characters.
Is it safe to use my real name in a username?
For public gaming and social accounts, it is safer not to use your full real name, birth year or location. Pick a nickname or themed word instead.
